VOTER REGISTRATION

To register to vote you must be:
  1. A U.S. Citizen
  2. A resident of Kansas
  3. Eighteen before the next statewide general election
Johnson County Voter registration applications are available at any City Hall, any Johnson County Library, or you may print from the Johnson County Election Office’s website and complete all information. Applications must contain an original signature and cannot be faxed. Mail your application to the Johnson County Election Office, 2101 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061.

If you change your name or address or wish to change your party affiliation, you are required to update your voter registration. This application must be postmarked no later than the 15th day prior to any election. You may register to vote at any time, however, registration closes 14 days prior to an election day.

Advance Voting by mail begins 20 days prior to every election. To vote by mail, complete an Application for an Advance Voting Ballot and fax to 913-791-8931 or mail to the Johnson County Election Office, 2101 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061. Applications are also available at public libraries and city halls. Ballots cannot be faxed.
