Welcome to the Contractor Information area. The information provided here is to assist both residential and commercial contractors doing work within the City of Leawood with regards to permits and inspections.

Please note that all contractors doing work within the City must be properly licensed, which includes obtaining a City of Leawood Occupation License. An application for the occupation license can be obtained by clicking here [55.95 KB - PDF File].

In addition, all individuals acting as a general contractor, roofing contractor, electrician, plumber, or HVAC contractor must have a valid contractor's licensed issued by Johnson County, Kansas. For more information about the Johnson County licensing program, click here.
