You Can Help Leawood Grow With Distinction
You can help your community grow with distinction by making tax-deductible contributions to the Leawood Foundation.
The foundation provides resources for cultural, educational, recreational and environmental activities and projects within our community that might not otherwise be provided through tax dollars.
The foundation helped fund the Prairie Lessons sculpture next to the Historic Oxford Schoolhouse in Ironwoods Park.
Current Focus: Children's Play Area at Gezer Park
Gezer Park, at 133RD Street and Mission Road, celebrates our sister city, the Gezer Region of Israel. Its many features pay tribute to Gezer and will educate and connect American and Israeli communities for generations. The park is the 2010 focus of fundraising for the foundation. The foundation would like to fund a children's play area for the park, in addition to other amenities that will enhance its educational value.
