Arti Gras Annual Juried Art Show Presented by the Leawood Arts Council, Leawood Stage Company and the Leawood Foundation

to be exhibited in locked glass display cases.


  • "Best of Show" $500
  • 1st Place in each of 4 Categories; Photography,
    Drawing & Painting, 3-Dimentional, and Jewelry - $125
  • "King's Choice" Award $100 (selected by attendees with
    an opportunity to display piece at City Hall for 3 months)

  • Delivery of Artwork - Wednesday, February 14, 4:00 - 7:00pm
    Thursday, February 15, 9:00am - Noon
  • Opening Night Reception - Friday, February 16, 2017 - 6:00-9:00 pm
    (Award winners announced at 7:30 pm)
    Inclement weather date: Saturday, February 17 - 6:00-9:00 pm
    Artists and one guest may attend the opening night reception at no charge
  • Public Viewing - Saturday and Sunday 11:00am - 4:00 pm
  • Show Closes - Sunday, February 18, 2017 - 4:00 pm
  • Pick up Artwork - Sunday, February 18, after 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm or
    Monday, February 19, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Michael Dean

Michael Dean has been in the art business for 30 years, managing and owning Leawood Fine Art for 26 of them. As a gallery owner, he is in charge of curating and selecting the artists and works represented in the gallery. With an eclectic selection of artists, the gallery features pieces ranging from abstract, figurative, and landscape paintings to photography to various sculptures in glass, wood, metal and other materials. Keeping an open mind is essential when seeking out new works, and with all of his experience in the business, Michael has a good eye for dynamic compositions and color.
