Our Mission

To lead, educate, and collaborate with the Leawood
community to encourage conservation, increase recycling,
and promote walking and bicycle riding in the City of Leawood.

Tips
The average cell phone lasts around 18 months, which means 130 million phones will be retired each year. If they go into landfills, the phones and their batteries introduce toxic substances into our environment. There are plenty of reputable programs where you can recycle your phone, many which benefit noble causes.

Important Date Mark You Calendar

Each February, the Leawood Sustainability Advisory Board invites board members from Leawood HOAs to attend a dinner at the Lodge at Ironwoods. The Annual HOA meeting is one of the primary ways the City of Leawood communicates with residents about major initiatives that make our city and its residents better stewards of the environment and how doing so improves the quality of life in our city, provides support to home values and helps to save the community money. The event includes vendor booths, dinner and drinks, as well as presentations related to sustainability in Leawood. Keep your HOA Board's contact information up to date by contacting (913) 339-6700 ext. 100, and we'll contact your HOA about our next meeting.
