Are You Prepared For The Next Disaster?

Sagamore St.The City of Leawood is working extremely hard on maintaining an ongoing preparedness for any disaster or major emergency, be it a tornado, terrorist attack, or the next ice storm. One of the essential ingredients to preparedness is YOU! Each person, family, business, school, or civic organization must take an active role in preparing for whatever emergency is just around the corner. Remember, for a disaster, “it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when”.Clean UpOne of the best ways to be prepared is through education. Taking the time to educate yourself, your family, your neighbors, or your employees about the potential risks we could face, will maximize your ability to deal with any situation. By learning about these issues, including ways to minimize, respond to, and recover from any disaster, you’ll be part of the solution and not part of the problem!
