This full-day, one week camp will be held at the Historic Oxford One-room Schoolhouse in Ironwoods Park, 147th & Mission Road in Leawood, Kansas. “Re-enACT: Little Schoolhouse on the Prairie Camp” will run Monday through Friday, July 23 – 27 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. This re-enactment camp is designed for children ages 7 – 12. The fee for the five day camp is $170.00 per camper. Campers will participate in hands-on living history skills, like making butter and needlework. They will play historic games and make crafts from life on the 1800s prairie. While they learn about growing up on the prairie, they will be writing their own re-enactment script. Drama, history, art and storytelling come together in this fun and educational camp. On the final afternoon, campers will perform their own script in period costume for their family and friends.
