Fontana is a professional performance group based in Kansas City. They frequently perform for special events throughout the area. Many of the trio’s selections are of their own arrangement. Fontana stretches the limits of expectations for a classical string trio.
The concert will include popular tunes as well as classical favorites. They love to play a diverse repertoire featuring everything from Tango, Ragtime, Jazz, and Broadway to Classical.
Members of the trio include violist, Nell French, violinist, Ziva Patt-Rappaport, and cellist, Jenny Shyver. Individually they hold impressive resumes of award winning careers in music. Together they are the talk of special occasions and venues across town.
Nell French moved to the area from her native California. She works freelance as a violist for the Kansas City Symphony, Wichita Grand Opera, Kansas City Baroque Consortium and many more. A graduate of the University of Colorado, she maintains a private studio for violists of all ages. Nell serves on the faculty of KCKCC and coaches chamber music at Blue Valley North.
