Expires [Saturday, September 08, 2012] CONTACT:April Bishop Cultural Arts Coordinator (913) 339-6700 ext. 157 EVENT: Writing the Skeletons in Your Closet at the Historic Oxford Schoolhouse DATE:Saturday, September 8, 2012 TIME: 10:00 a.m. LOCATION:Historic Oxford Schoolhouse at Ironwoods Park 147th and Mission Rd., Leawood, KS ENTRY FEE:Free Historic Oxford Schoolhouse presents a Workshop by Sally Jadlow The docents of the Historic Oxford Schoolhouse will host a program on Saturday, September 8th beginning at 10:00 am at the Historic Oxford Schoolhouse located in Ironwoods Park at 147th & Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas 66224. Local author Sally Jadlow presents "Writing the Skeletons in Your Closet", a workshop to explore ways to help you write your family history. She will also offer genealogy information to help you track your ancestors. Sally Jadlow is the author of The Late Sooner, a historic fiction based on a one-line-a-day diary written by her great grandfather who claimed land in the first Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. Jadlow is also the author of God's Little Miracle Book and God's Little Miracle Book II. Sally teaches creative writing at Matt Ross Center in Overland Park. When she isn't writing or teaching, she serves as a chaplain to corporations in the Kansas City area. The Oxford School docents encourage history buffs and anyone interested in writing about your family history to visit the Oxford Schoolhouse and enjoy this free presentation on September 8th.
