Leawood Stage Company is thrilled to welcome back Chris McCoy as Director and Choreographer. Professor of Theatre at William Jewell College and serves as the Artistic Director of LSC. His directorial style is dedicated to presenting classic American musicals with modern sensibilities.

The beloved classic, Annie is based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray. Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite her bleak start in 1930s New York City.

Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of the orphanage run by the bitter Miss Hannigan. She finds a new home with billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Annie, will have a large cast of children and adults and promises to be an enjoyable free night of theatre under the stars.

Additional opportunities for volunteers and orchestra members are available. For more information go to the LSC website at www.leawoodstageco.org or contact April Bishop at the City of Leawood, 913-663-9157, or Email aprilb@leawood.org.
