Prairie Oak Nature Center will host an afternoon that will celebrate trees and the amazing and essential role they play in our daily lives. Activities will include a short lecture on plant life, demonstrations on proper care of trees, games and crafts.

Visitors will have a chance to plant trees and other plants in the park. The city will also continue its annual tree giveaway program with four species of trees to choose from, as well as a great selection of vegetable, plant and herb seeds as part of the new Seed Library Program.

About the Arbor Day Foundation: The Arbor Day Foundation is a million member nonprofit conservation and education organization with the mission to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees. More information is available at arborday.org.
