Leawood Stage Company Presents “Bark! The Musical”
The Leawood Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with the Leawood
Stage Company, presents the Kansas City premiere of Bark! The Musical. Join
us September 7 - 9 at Ironwoods Park, 147th and Mission Road.
This show follows six canine characters for a day at Doggie Daycare. From
the little puppy who yearns to bark like a real dog, to the opera singing
poodle and the street mutt who raps - this musical has huge heart. Presented
from a dog’s point of view, the show depicts the joy in man’s best friend.
Men, women and children of all ages will find an emotional connection with
BARK! Howlingly funny and sometimes poignant, BARK! is the new must see
Leawood Stage Company is delighted to welcome back Annette Cook as director.
Annette has directed two successful and popular musicals for LSC: The Sound
of Music, in 2014, and Once Upon a Mattress in 2016. She has also appeared
on the LSC stage in Nunsense. Cast members include: Paul Anderson, Elisa
Davis, Alex Goering, Matthew Koehler, Meagan McCarty, and Tracy Pratt.
Friday night’s performance will take place inside the Lodge at Ironwoods
Park at 7:30 for humans only. Saturday’s performance will take place outside
at the Ironwoods Amphitheater for humans and their four-legged family
members at 11:00 am. Sunday evening’s performance will take place outside at
the Ironwoods Amphitheater for humans and their four-legged family members
at 5:30 pm.
The three performances and the companion Bark in the Park event will benefit

profit pet agencies.
