Holiday Camp

Ages 5-11 years

Camp meets at the Leawood Community Center
(Lower Level of Leawood City Hall)

Created specifically for your holiday break! This is a recreation program for youth, ages 5-11 years and includes activities such as organized games, possible field trips to the movies, skyzone, roller skating, swimming, power play or other interactive fun destinations! Keep your child entertained in a fun way!

Camp will meet daily and fees include all daily admissions, transportation and supervision. Please bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks will be provided.

Winter Break Nature Camp

Camp meets at the Prairie Oak Nature Center in Ironwoods Park
(14701 Mission Road)


The Prairie Oak Nature Center Winter Break Camp experience is packed full of live animal encouters, outdoor games, educational hikes, hot chocolate breaks and cool hands-on science activities. These "pay by the day" camp sessions are a great solution to your child care needs, providing an educational and entertaining experience for your children. Campers will be divided by age and grade nto smaller groups when appropriate.

Please bring a water bottle and lunch. Healthy snacks will be provided.

"Schools Out" One Day Camps

All Nature Camps will be held at the Prairie Oak Nature Center
located in Ironwoods Park, 14701 Mission Road.

Winter Blues Camp - Ages 5-10 years

The winter seems the coldest and longest in February. This all day nature camp is a perfect way to spend the day. We will have games, crafts and activities to make the day fun. The focus of this camp will be remembering the summertime and sunshine.  Please pack a lunch and snacks for your child.

Spring Break Camp

This spring break camp is designed to work with the Lego® Camp to offer a full day option for those working parents who may need it. We will help with the transition to and from those that are registered for Lego® Camp.  You may register for one or both sessions without having to be in Lego® Camp. Jion the fun and enjoy an interactive environment with games, arts and crafts and much more. One - 4 hour session

Lego® Camps

All classes will be taught by Play-Well TEKnologies instructors and
will be held at the Leawood Community Center (lower level of Leawood City Hall)

Pre-Engineering: Mine, Craft, Build Using LEGO® - Ages 5-6 years

Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO® Build engineer-designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a protal to the Nether and a moving Minecart! Create your favorite Minecraft objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Whether you are new to Minecraft and LEGO® or a seasoned veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilites. Five - 3 hour classes.

Engineering FUNdamentals: Mine, Craft, Build Using LEGO® - Ages 7-12 years

Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO®. Build a motorized walking Creeper, a terrifying Ghast and a motorized Minecart! This project-based camp, designed by Play-Well instructors, combines the basic format of our core engineering-themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO®. Five - 3 hour classes.
