Labor Day 5K Walk & Run

Starting Line

Entry forms are now available for the 19th Annual Labor Day 5K Walk & Run, presented by the Leawood Parks and Recreation Department, The Headache & Pain Center, PA, Dick's Sporting Goods and Pepsi-Cola. Whether you're a walker, beginning runner, a veteran runner, or a wheelchair athlete, this event is for you!

Join us for a morning run on Monday, September 7 at Leawood City Park, 10601 Lee Blvd. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. for the wheelchair division and 7:35 a.m. for all other participants. The closed course will begin and end at Leawood City Park in front of the tennis courts.

The first 500 participants will receive an event t-shirt.  Everyone who participates will receive post event snacks, a water bottle and a ticket to the pancake breakfast, held immediately following the event. Early registrations are being received at www.sportkc.org until September 2 and at Leawood City Hall until September 4. Late registration will be available at The Headache and Pain Center (4801 College Blvd) on Saturday, September 5 from 12:00–5:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 6 from 1:00–5:00 p.m.  Participants may also register the day of the race from 6:00 –7:00 a.m. at Leawood City Park.  Entry fees are $25 for registrations received by September 4 (or online by September 2), $30 for registrations received on September 5-6 and $35 if registrations take place the day of the race.

First place male, female and wheelchair divisions will receive a plaque and a gift certificate.   First through third place male and female finishers for each division will receive medals.  Free prize drawings will be held after the race.  Come join us for another exciting race!
