The City of Leawood parks system consists of 6 parks: Brook Beatty Park. Located at 86th Terrace and Lee Boulevard. Tomahawk Park, located at 119th Street between Mission and Tomahawk Creek Parkway. Leawood City Park, located at 10601 Lee Boulevard. I-Lan Park, located at 125th and Nall. Gezer Park, located at 133rd & Mission. And Ironwoods Park, located at 147th and Mission Road. Throughout the various parks, residents can find playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields, picnic shelters and other recreation facilities. Leawood Parks and Recreation also operates an Olympic size 50-meter pool.
Leawood City Park and Tomahawk Creek Park are connected by Tomahawk Creek Greenway, a 4.1 mile paved path meandering along Tomahawk Creek that is part of the county-wide greenway system. Along the way, you will encounter 3 ponds, stocked with catfish, bluegill and bass, several picnic areas and a bridle path. Trail maps and nature guides are available at the Parks Office at City Hall.
