The City of Leawood parks
system consists of 5 parks: Brook Beatty Park. Located at 86th Terrace and Lee
Boulevard. Tomahawk Park, located at 119th Street between Mission and Tomahawk
Creek Parkway. Leawood City Park, located at 10601 Lee Boulevard. Two new parks
due to be completed in late summer of 2003, I-Lan Park, located at 125th and
Nall, and Ironwoods Park, located at 147th and Mission Road. Throughout the
various parks, residents can find playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields,
picnic shelters and other recreation facilities. Leawood Parks and Recreation
also operates an Olympic size 50-meter pool.

Leawood City Park and Tomahawk
Creek Park are connected by Tomahawk Creek Greenway, a 4.1 mile paved path meandering
along Tomahawk Creek that is part of the county-wide greenway system. Along
the way, you will encounter 3 ponds, stocked with catfish, bluegill and bass,
several picnic areas and a bridle path. Trail maps and nature guides are available
at the Parks Office at City Hall.
