On behalf of the men and women of the Leawood Police Department,

Police BadgeWelcome to our website.

We hope you find the information on the site both informative and useful. The site provides information on criminal activity occurring in the city, the services we provide as well as where to go get your police related questions answered. If after reviewing the site you feel like these goals are not being met please let me know so we can address your concerns.

The men and women of the Leawood Police Department take a great deal of pride in providing prompt and professional service to the citizens and visitors of the City of Leawood. We will continue to monitor not only changes to the city, but also the nature of the criminal activity in the city and surrounding areas to make sure we are doing our jobs as effectively as possible. We know that to do our jobs to the best of our abilities we need the cooperation of as many people outside of the police department as we can get. Please contact us with any concerns you have which you think we may be able to assist with and by all means please report any suspicious activity or criminal behavior to us as quickly as you are able. Police work needs to be a partnership with the community to be as effective as it can be and we need your help in working towards this.

I encourage you to look over our site to become familiar with what it has to offer as well as what we offer as a police department. I would especially like for you to become familiar with the crime mapping feature and our citizen survey. The crime mapping allows you to filter by date and type of crime so you can be aware of criminal activity not only in the city, but also your neighborhood. The citizen survey will allow you to anonymously provide feedback about the police department. This is a valuable tool for us as we strive to serve the city and those in it the best way we can.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any assistance or information. We are here to serve you and are committed to doing it to the best of our abilities.
