1/8th - CENT SALES TAX - STORMWATER PROJECTS
- Box Culvert Replacement at 87th & Mission Road
A Construction Contract was awarded to Rodriguez Mechanical Construction for $470,260.50, on February 18, 2013, for the Box Culvert Replacement. The construction will replace an existing 13' x 14' box culvert that crosses Mission Road. Phelps Engineering/J2 Engineers and Environmental Design were awarded a contract for design in November 2011, for a cost of $59,460.00.
This is a joint project with the City of Prairie Village and Leawood. The cost is shared equally between the two cities and funded by the 1/8 Cent Sales Tax. Work should begin approximately March 1 of this year and be completed in the fall.
