PUBLIC MEETING - 135th Street Community Implementation Plan
Date: Thursday, February 18, 6:00 to 8:00pm
Location: The Lodge at Ironwoods Park, 14701 Mission Road, Leawood KS 66224
The City of Leawood, in coordination with the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), is beginning the 135th Street Community Implementation Plan. Because community involvement is vital to the success of the planning effort, the City is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, February 18, 2016. The meeting will begin with a short presentation. Then you'll be asked to review exhibits that describe the vision for the 135th Street Corridor in terms of land use, development, transportation connections, and much more.
The outcome of the effort will be a range of recommendations that affect the Leawood Development Ordinance (LDO) and other policy tools that govern and inform the look, feel, character, and arrangement of development and transportation options along 135th Street. Undertaking the process will provide Leawood community members, city staff, and elected officials with the tools necessary to help ensure that 135th Street grows with distinction in the coming decades.
