The series continues with a concert by the Vine Street Seven on August 23rd.
Vine Street Seven is a smaller combo of members from the very popular Vine Street Rumble Jazz Orchestra. Vine Street Seven are “top call” local musicians that perform across the country and around the world.

Directed by Kent Rausch, the band performs Kansas City Jazz from the “golden era” of our city’s jazz history. The exciting sounds made Kansas City the place to be in the 30s and 40s. This music changed the world of Jazz and influenced musicians across America.

Vine Street Seven will feature vocals by the legendary Danny Cox as a special addition to this concert in Ironwoods Park.

Fans rave about the talent of the group and the quality of the performance. Vine Street Seven will take you back in time to 18th and Vine.

Bring your friends and entire family for a relaxing evening in the park. In the event of rain, the concert will move into the Lodge at Ironwoods Park.

The concert series continues on August 30, and the series concludes on September 6th with Hard at Play.

Please join the Leawood Arts Council for our 10th annual free Sundays in the Park Concert Series in the Ironwoods Park Amphitheater. Some seating is available however, we recommend bringing a blanket and/or lawn chairs. Some refreshments will be available. Picnics are welcomed but alcohol is not allowed within the park.
