Leawood Stage Company to Hold Auditions for the
2016 Season of Musicals
Calling all actors, singers and dancers!
The Leawood Stage Company will hold auditions for three Broadway musicals, My Fair Lady directed by Kevin Bogan, Once Upon a Mattress directed by Annette Cook, and Sweeney Todd directed by Tiffany Schweigert on Saturday, March 5th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, March 6th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Oak Room on the lower level of Leawood City Hall. Auditioners should enter through the north doors of the building. Audition applications will be accepted 30 minutes prior to the end of each time period.
We request that anyone between the ages of 7 and 15 attend auditions on Saturday afternoon from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday. For conflicts please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Call backs will be held by invitation only. My Fair Lady will hold callbacks on Sunday evening at City Hall. Once Upon a Mattress will hold callbacks on Monday at 7:30 at City Hall. Callbacks for Sweeney Todd will be announced.
Everyone auditioning must prepare 16 measures of a song from a musical. Please bring sheet music in your key as an accompanist will be provided. Once Upon a Mattress auditioners should also be prepared to participate in a short dance/movement audition: comfortable dress and shoes are suggested.
Bring a photo and resume if available. No appointment time is necessary as auditions are first come, first served. Audition forms may be filled out in advance by downloading the form from Leawood Stage Company website.
If you cannot attend auditions, video or YouTube auditions will be accepted. Please contact April Bishop at least a week prior to the audition weekend to make arrangements.

My Fair Lady – presented in cooperation with Church of the Resurrection, May 5, 6, 7 at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS
Once Upon A Mattress – July 14- 17 & 21- 23 at the Ironwoods Park
Sweeney Todd – September 29, 30, October 1, 2 inside the Lodge at Ironwoods Park
Leawood Stage Company has focused on family fun for 18 years and we encourage you to be part of this fabulous community theatre experience. We encourage performers of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, ability levels, and experience to audition for Once Upon a Mattress which features great roles for teens and adults.
No children will be cast in My Fair Lady or Sweeney Todd.
