2017 Arti Gras Winners Announced

The Leawood Stage Company, Arts Council, and the Leawood Foundation were thrilled by the success of the sixth annual Arti Gras Juried Art Show that was held February 17th through 19th, 2017. The show was not only a great success in the number of attendees but most importantly in the support from the art community. The 96 outstanding local artists submitted an impressive body of 150 works that included many styles and mediums.

The Arts Council was honored to have the assistance of guest juror, Valerie Phillips of Gallery V Fine Arts at Mission Farms.

Attendees voted for their favorite pieces during the run of the show. The “King’s Choice” winner is:

Proceeds from the event go to the Leawood Foundation to fund future projects and to the Leawood Stage Company for the “Mics for Mike Fund”.

Both the Leawood Foundation and Leawood Stage Company are 501(c)(3) not for profit organizations. The mission of the Leawood Foundation is to provide resources for activities and projects that might not be provided through tax dollars. The Leawood Foundation is committed to promoting cultural, educational and environmental activities and projects that enrich the lives of our residents and our community.

Leawood Stage Company’s mission is to offer residents of Leawood and the surrounding area the experience of Community Theater as participants, spectators and patrons. We enhance the quality of life for all through theatrical productions, educational programming and community engagement.
