Into the Night Fall Festival at Ironwoods Park
Leawood Parks and Recreation is hosting the second annual “Into the Night Fall Festival” Friday, October 6th from 5:30 - 9:00 pm throughout Ironwoods Park, located at 147th & Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas 66224.
The evening will be filled with fun for the entire family. Activities will include, petting zoo, nature presentations at the Prairie Oak Nature Center, games in the Historic Oxford Schoolyard, fortune teller, face painter, balloon artist, and storytellers.
Entertainers will include, Brian Wendling Juggling, Mad Science, Vida Dance Company, and headliner Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove.
The Oxford Schoolhouse and the Prairie Oak Nature Center will offer crafts for kids all evening long.
Carloads will be charged $10.00 upon entry to the park in exchange for wristbands which will allow everyone open access to all activities, crafts, games and entertainment without further charge. For a complete schedule of activities and an event map of the park go to www.leawood.org/parks.org.
In the event of rain, all indoor activities will continue as scheduled, as well as any that can move indoors. There will be no future dates scheduled for the few activities that cannot move inside such as, and campfire.
