The Aquatic Center opens each season on Memorial Day Weekend and closes for the season on Labor Day (days and hours of operation vary starting in early August). The Aquatic Center offers youth swim lessons for ages 6 months and up, look for information in spring, 2019.

*All participants wishing to register online MUST call the Parks & Recreation Department at (913) 663-9154 to retrieve your Username and Password (if you have not done so already) PRIOR to March 29th. You will need this information in order to register online.

All Swim & Dive Team participants must be six years old by June 1, 2019. All Competitive Swim Team participants must be able to swim 50 meters unassisted and without stopping to rest. All Pre Competitive Swim Team Participants must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted and without stopping to rest. Please be certain your child is comfortable in the water and can accomplish the required skills. The 50 yards should be completed “with ease”.

Swim Team
Swim practice begins on Tuesday, May 28 and meets will start the week of June 3. Practices are 7:30 – 8:45am (10 & older), 8:45 – 10:00am ( 8 & 9 years) or 10:15-11:15am ( 9 & Under/pre competitive) Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Thursday evenings, and some of the younger swimmers may be placed on the Pre Competitive team which will participate in Saturday morning meets.

Dive Team 
Dive practice begins on Tuesday, May 28 and meets will start the week of June 10. Practices are 8:45 – 10:00am or 10:15-11:30am Monday through Friday. Meets are held on Tuesday evenings.

In 2019, the Leawood Aquatic Center is once again partnering with Fairway, Merriam, Mission, Roeland Park and Prairie Village to offer pool pass holders the opportunity to utilize your pool pass at five other pools in the Johnson County area. To be eligible for the SuperPass, you must be a Leawood resident or a non-resident who has purchased a pool pass for the previous season.  All qualifying guests may purchase the SuperPass as an add-on to their Leawood Aquatic Center Season Pool Pass. *Please note: patrons may still purchase the “family” SuperPass (for family member living in the same household only) even though family memberships are not available at Leawood.  All family members will need to have an Aquatic Center photo ID for the SuperPass.
